The organizers of Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) are looking back at a successful digital edition of 2021.
ENSN 2001 managed to set up a relevant conference program covering all areas of the music industry.
The organizers were able to welcome almost 4000 delegates to attend 66 panels with 274 speakers and moderators from 25 different nationalities.
Peter Marx was a speaker at the panel set up by the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers (IAEL). Together with Marijn Kingma, Charlie Engels, Kate Allen and Götz Schneider-Rothhaar, Peter outlined the most important legal developments of 2020 and had a look at the light at the end of the tunnel in 2021. Topics that were discussed included the implementation of the Digital Single Market Directive, the judgments of the European Court of Justice in RAAP, SABAM and ATRESMEDIA, the New Audiovisual Media Directive, copyright in the UK after Brexit, COVID-19 and the cancellation of events.
Up to the ESNS 2022 edition which will hopefully take place in Groningen again.
